Curriculum Vitae
Irene Spyridaki was born in 1978 in Heraclion Crete , Greece . She studied Classic Literature at the University of Crete and Education at the Greek Open University. She has also attended classes on Modernism Art History. She has apprenticed at the painting workshop of Azarias Madanian , Lecturer of Esthetic Education at the University of Crete .
She has participated in many local and international group exhibitions and achieved 5 awards in art competitions. Her first individual exhibition , titled "Chromosphere" took place in St. George's Gate of Venetian Walls of Heraclion Crete.
Some of her artworks are included in public collections of Kazantzakis Museum , SOS Children Villages , Love Center of Elefsina and also in private collections.
She is a member of the French-Greek artists' association " NAUTE " ( New Artists ' Union Travelling Through Europe ) and the artists' group " Mediterranean Artists ". In parallel, she participates in the editorial team of the ARTmag.gr magazine.
